About Us
Our team was founded in 1992 by one of Memorial High School’s physics teachers, Mr. Adams. FRC Team 238 competed in the inaugural competition, Maize Craze. The very first FRC competition was actually held in our very own Memorial High School’s gymnasium. Since then, our team has been involved in almost every game. Unfortunately, we had to take a two year break due to not having a teacher advisor, but we quickly bounced back and became involved in the FIRST community again.
Originally, our team number was 69 then 99 in 1997 and 1998. Before that, the team numbers changed every year. Every year before 1999, the team numbers were based off of alphabetical order and the team’s main sponsor. In 1999, we got our permanent team number of 238.
